I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
